When creating this necklace I wanted to capture my entire journey to self love in a necklace. I spent my entire life thinking that love was transactional and always felt like I was never enough. So many times I would think that if I was “more” or if I did “more” that people would stay in my life. This year I had to learn that there is no amount of love in the world that can force someone to stay in my life. I had to learn that the love I give so much to others needed to be given to myself instead. I had to wake up and force myself to choose myself every single day. It was like I had to rewire my brain because I would automatically revert back to giving people so much because it was all I knew. The journey to self love was not easy but every day I’m grateful that I decided to choose myself and heal the deepest parts of me.

There are small details in this necklace I’d like to highlight:

This chain is dainty, dainty to represent how fragile I felt while having to learn to choose myself. Although it looks dainty, it is strong and does not break easily, like me.

The crystal shape in the center is called a “teardrop” because of all the tears that were shed while purging and healing my old self

The flowers represent a piece of a lotus flower. The lotus flower represents strength, resilience, and rebirth because of its ability to rise above muddy waters and bloom into something beautiful

The crystal I used to represent the journey to self love was citrine. Yellow like sunshine and is used to open your solar plexus chakra of self love and confidence. When wearing citrine you call in happiness, success and abundance! All things well deserved when you learn to love yourself
